Alexis Shockley, a mother of two, artist, outdoors and sports lover, and avid cook demonstrates how she can be a mom, wife, and successful full-time working woman doing what she loves. Her passion for art has taken her many places over the years since graduating with her Masters of Fine Arts from Radford University, but most importantly, she secured her current job as the Arts Coordinator at VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia. Her art experience and expertise both as a K-12 Art Teacher and Director at Gallery Flux has allowed her to seamlessly take on the patient referrals for inpatient art interventions and apply her curatorial knowledge to maintain a healing environment within the hospital walls.
