Daniel Wise is a professional fine artist living in the Washington DC metro area who works in pastel and oil. He is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA) and Maryland Pastel Society, a charter member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, and a member of the American Impressionists Society, Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters, Allied Artists of America, and Audubon Artists.
After studying at Pratt Institute, Daniel earned a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Denver in 1991, followed by additional studies at the Denver Art Students’ League, The Art League in Alexandria, VA, and workshops with Kim Lordier, Albert Handell, and Scott Christensen. Daniel has won numerous awards and his work is in many private and corporate collections. He has served as an instructor, juror and curator in Northern VA, MD and the DC metro area.
