Chris McClintock

A Little Bio I was born and grew up in Pennsylvania where I was often found climbing trees and spending time outdoors. I went to college at Pennsylvania State college for a Special Education degree, then 10 years later at West Virginia University for a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. It was my Computer Science degree that brought me to Virginia in 1985 where I have made my home in King George. When; I retired from Northrop Grumman after 28 years, I started spending even more time outdoors and joining hiking and photography groups. Currently I live with a well-loved wild and crazy miniature poodle and 2 well-loved cat buddies. I have been a member of the FCCA since 2017 where I have been awarded on several occasions for my photography. I feel honored to have been selected to exhibit my first solo photography show at the FCCA in the Members Gallery. e-mail: c_mcclintock2@icloud.com Facebook: ChrisMcClintockFineArtPhotography Instagram: chrismc49

Artists Statement

Virginia Visions – Chris McClintock
Virginia Visions represents a collection of my photography from various outdoor settings in my home sphere of Virginia including Fredericksburg, Chatham, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Hopyard Landing in King George and the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail (DRHT) in King George. I became a daily participant of nature during Covid, as I was forced to spend more time with myself on the DRHT and find daily reasons to walk at sunrise to experience the morning light and find amazing connections with the landscapes and wildlife I found there. My photography, since that time, shows how I have expanded my universe to find more light and beauty in the natural world. I hope that my photography may inspire you to stop and look around to find that special light in your own daily lives. My photography is my soul.
