Artist's Bio - Lew Lott
"I believe craft becomes art when the outcome is from the unconscious and transcends the literal."
Lew graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Communication Arts and Design with photography as his primary interest. He now explores the works through his photography and paint along with a healthy influence from "The Arts" in general. His work usually begins with his photography which may either stand along or be used with help from paint to become something else. He explores strength, beauty, sensuality, and maturity with an occasional bit of discourse. His current favorite artists are Richard Avedon, John Singer Sargent, Salvador Dali, Caravaggio, and Francis Bacon.
