Artist's Bio - Michael Dean
For over 50 years I have been driven to create art through an obsession in my core which starts as an impulse to probe and leads me to investigate an idea. Be it the thick strokes of bold colors on palette knife paintings, canvas murals as large as walls screaming with colors, prints or sculptures, I attempt to capture the energy of that moment in time. Drawing my inspiration from nature, the relationship between me and the outcome is a constant battle to clarify the outcome. What starts as a debate between my instinct and awareness ends in a powerful emotional purge. The art itself meets the world on its own terms to show its naked truth.
