Do you ever wonder why a work of art is considered a masterpiece? How can both the Mona Lisa and Jackson Pollock’s paintings be or are Great Art? Who decides if a painting or piece of sculpture is Great Art? How is it decided? We will look at a variety of paintings and sculpture utilizing a number of methods to make this judgment. After learning a specific way to make an artistic judgement, both you and the class as a whole will make determinations on the ‘greatness’ of pieces of art.
