Vicki Norris graduated from The American Academy of Art (AAArt), Chicago, Illinois with a Fine Art Degree in Painting in 1990. That summer, she opened up a private studio in the City of Fairfax, Virginia, receiving commissions in Charcoal, Pastel, Watercolor and Oil (all of which she studied at AAArt). Soon after opening her studio, Vicki picked up a bigger brush, expanding her business to include murals, trompe l’oeil and decorative painting, to accommodate the demand in the greater metropolitan area. Vicki’s work has been accepted in juried shows; a traveling show with The Midwest Watercolor Society, The Chrysler Museum’s “Time” Exhibit, and The SHOW, to name a few. Her public art includes murals at: The City of Norfolk, The National Press Building, Washington, DC, and The

Waterford at Fair Oaks.In addition to her studio and mural work, Vicki has conducted workshops and taught classes in many mediums and at all levels of instruction throughout these 30+ years. The effect of light is prominent in most of her work, lending itself to an impressionist feel.
