Norma Woodward || Kaleidoscope of Color
After I received my first camera (a Brownie Hawkeye) as a pre-teen, I fell in love with photography. Since retiring in 2008, after 30 years with the Fredericksburg, Virginia school system, there is once again time to devote to my photographic pursuits. Subjects run the gamut of abstracts, portraiture, landscapes, close-up, black and white, color - you name it! I'm always experimenting.
Our world is a smorgasbord of photographic opportunities. I have been lucky enough to travel our country and internationally; however, many of my most successful images have been taken near my home in my quest to capture the intrinsic beauty of common things as well as those which are exotic. My passion for travel affords myriad photo opportunities. Each summer, I take a road trip across the backroads of America for several weeks. No itinerary, just exploration.
Though I am now in my seventies, I have retained the passion and the wonder of exploring our beautiful world. I hope you see that passion in my photographs.
