Upon graduating from Mary Washington College, Carolyn taught art in high, middle and elementary schools throughout the state of Virginia. Plus, she has had many hours of classes in various media and completed an Instructional Technology Certification from George Mason University and was a technology instructor for teachers in Prince William County Schools. In 2000, she helped open the first instructional technology high school in Prince William County, Forest Park Senior High School. There she taught Computer Graphics I, II, Multimedia I, II and Independent Studies in Multimedia and wrote the curriculum for these classes for Prince William County Schools. Now retired, she creates art work in digital media, oils, acrylics, watercolor, and pen and ink. As a member of the Fredericksburg Center for Creative Arts, she photographs accepted work and uploads them for use in the slideshow for each months exhibits and teaches classes in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and other digital photography software.
