Susan Singer is a prolific full-time artist who has produced dozens of one-person art shows on topics related to the human body then, later, related to the glorious beauty found in Nature: Pregnant Nudes, 12 Naked Men, Scar Series, and Beyond Barbie focused on the figure. Beauty Abounds, and Iceland, the James, and Beyond (among others) heralded her shift to landscapes once she discovered Iceland and the vast marvels of the landscape there. She returns to Iceland as often as possible to take part in artist residencies during which she wanders the countryside and paints what she finds there.
A resident of Richmond, VA, Singer works as a full time artist and also teaches many different classes both in her studio and at the Visual Arts Center including Introduction to Pastels, Zentangles, Create Your Own Visual Journal, Beginning Drawing Intensive, among others.
Susan’s interests are quite diverse, but all her work has at its core the intention to empower others and to help them follow their own passion in order to live the most amazing life possible.
