Travel Photography

I am a Navy veteran who was fortunate enough to be stationed in Scotland, England, and Spain during my active-duty time. I was just out of high school when I got stationed in Scotland at a remote Navy base; I was super happy about this fantastic opportunity. Scotland’s stunning countryside got me started on capturing landscape photos. Since Scotland, I’ve been taking photographs wherever my travels take me.
One of my favorite things to do is to be out in nature! I think I have a deep appreciation for nature and get a great deal of joy from being out in it and taking pictures that I think might turn out to be representative of what I’m seeing and feeling. Additionally, I try to take photographs that might lend a different perspective.
I’ve recently retired and now hope to take the time to learn more about photography and perhaps take some classes on techniques.

Everywhere you travel, there is always something to see. The challenge is finding that landscape or building or street that draws you in and captures your interest. My goal is to entice people to travel to faraway lands or to the next town over and look for that something to see.
